or not. Just like in the West with the Black Madonna, priests in Taiwan/HongKong have
tried to "whitewash" the black face of Mother Matsu. It caused such a great
anger with the devotees, that the priest were forced to restore the original state of the
statues. Mother's Blackness proves to be universal! |
