ASTORGA CATHEDRAL SCHOOL
Once again proof of the fact how complex the relationships can be between the
Church and the pre-christian Tradition. Surely, they are locally influenced. One
bishop who sympathisizes with the Green Man LINK: Lugo is enough to dominate the
situation. Certainly, this has been the case in Astorga. Could you ever think (dream) that
the School of the Cathedral - Center of Catholic Education - would be decorated this way -
with Green Men? |

Walking around the church (although
restauration works were going on) I also saw this robust Green Man. After that another
surprise i.e. the opposite: a gentle Green Man....(under/left) |
